The European Spallation Source is involved in a number of projects funded by both regional and national grants
ESS is currently involved in projects under the framework Horizon 2020 programme of the European Commission, as well as the EU-funded programme COST. Horizon 2020 is the largest EU programme for research and innovation, which encourages breakthroughs to drive economic growth in Europe. COST enables researchers to set up their interdisciplinary research networks in Europe and beyond.
Concurrently, ESS is involved in projects funded by Swedish funding agencies, such as Vinnova and the Swedish Research Council, Vetenskapsrådet, as well as by the regional funding agencies NordForsk and Interreg Baltic Sea Region.
