Research Interests

Erik Nilsson took his exam as a mechanical engineer from Växjö University in 2007. He then went on to become a mechanical engineer at Semcon in Växjö, with a wide variety of assignments. He has worked on large projects for Volvo Construction Equipment, designing a new generation of wheel loaders, as well as flue gas treatment plan design for Alstom.

In 2012 he moved back to Skåne and started working at Semcon Lund. Here he got an assignment at the ESS as the first designer working on instrument visualization for the TDR. He was later got the opportunity to work as a mechanical engineer in the Neutron Chopper Group, where he today is responsible for mechanical integration of chopper systems and Remote handling for the NSS insturment suite.
