Testing and commissioning for the facility’s electrical distribution substation (H06) building was completed, with the Sectional Handover Meeting scheduled for this week. Construction of the Target Station (D02) has reached ground level, meaning the installation galleries and other basement and tunnel areas are topped off, with 30 metres of height left to go. Monolith vault construction continues as planned and the penultimate casting for the 8,000 square metre Beamline Gallery (E02) base slab was completed. Superstructure erection for the E-buildings is scheduled to begin in August.
