The final pour of the five-part Target Station (D02) Monolith vault casting was completed, while ongoing work on the walls for the next (ground) level continued, with some casting expected to begin this week. The extensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works in the Gallery Building (G02) continued, including the installation of electrical cabling, piping insulation and the high-voltage systems in the Klystron gallery. Following the summer break the focus will move to the testing and commissioning of these systems. The installation of water treatment equipment also moved forward in the Gallery Building. Overhead, the installation of the roofing membranes for the Gallery Building and adjacent Accelerator Tunnel (G01) is moving toward completion, with sedum topfill of the Green roof area expected in August. Erection of the superstructure for the long-range Experimental Hall (E01) is also expected to begin next month. And finally, key components for the Cryo-Compressor Building (G04) are set for installation next week as three compressors were received on site, along with the large Helium recycling balloon delivered earlier in the month.
