4th Workshop on Energy at Research Infrastructures

The European Spallation Source (ESS), CERIC-ERIC’s ACCELERATE partner, together with CERN, ELI-NP, ARIES and the European Association of Research Facilities (ERF), are organizing the 4th edition of the "Energy for Sustainable Science at Research Infrastructures" workshop.

It will take place at ELI-NP (Extreme Light Infrastructure - Nuclear Physics) in Magurele, Romania, on 23-24 November 2017.

The focus of this edition will be on energy efficiency and sustainability issues at large-scale research infrastructures. The workshop will bring together international experts, stakeholders and representatives from research facilities with the purpose of identifying the challenges and exchanging best practices related to the increase of energy efficiencies, energy system optimizations, storage and savings, implementation and management issues. Potential future technological solutions will be reviewed as well.

    Site, Architecture & Sustainability
