The 16th In-Kind Contributions Meeting for Neutron Science at ESS (IKON16)

This is the 16th meeting for In-Kind Contributions for Neutron Science at the European Spallation Source, to be held in Lund, Sweden, February 11-14.

The IKON meetings are a regular forum centered around the design and construction of the ESS neutron instruments and their associated support facilities. By bringing together current and future partners, the meetings aim to provide an overview on the various activities and fertilise exchange that is vital to our success. Scientists from ESS member countries currently not engaged in in-kind activities but interested in joining are encouraged to participate.

IKON16 will be a collaboration meeting for building the ESS Neutron Scattering Systems. The meeting will start on Monday, after lunch with a plenary session at AF Borgen. IKON16 will end Thursday afternoon.

Fifteen instruments for science are included in the ESS construction project. Each instrument is unique, optimised for obtaining particular kinds of scientific data.
