The first casting of the Monolith walls was completed, as Target Station (D02) works continue through the summer break. The Target Station utility area, located between the Monolith and Active Cells areas, was excavated and blinded. In the Accelerator tunnel (G01), Polish in-kind work on the Phase Reference Line will begin this month. This entails cabling the full length of the tunnel. During operation, the Phase Reference Line will provide an exact reference for the proton beam’s pulse frequency. In the test stand area of the Gallery Building (G02) a support system for the waveguides will be put in place. Rack installation also continues. And in the Cryo-Compressor Building (G04), the large compressors that will drive the facility’s cryogenic cooling system have been mounted in place. Cryo system pipes will be pressure-tested throughout the month of July.
