Last week on the construction site, work on the Target Station as well as the E04 lab building interior advanced rapidly.
The formwork and reinforcement for both the Monolith and the A2T area between the Target and Accelerator are creating both towering and intricately designed structures in preparation for concrete casting in the months to come. More rounded formwork for the Monolith has been lifted and secured into place, while the massive job of reinforcing the 30-metre long, 4-metre high and 4-metre thick A2T tunnel is progressing solidly.
The large E04 lab building at the western edge of the site is now being framed out for interior walls in conjunction with the completion of mechanical, electrical and plumbing works. Facade works continue on the remaining E buildings.
Finally, the Sprinkler Building, which will serve as the holding tank and central distributor for all sprinkler systems and fire hydrants for the facility, has been handed over from Skanska to ESS. This adds to the growing tally of buildings now under ESS control.
