Last week on the construction site saw progress in all major parts of the Target Station as well as the successful delivery of the Accelerator’s Beam Transport Modules from STFC Daresbury.
Reinforcement work continues in the Target Building's Active Cells area, the Utility area, the Monolith, and the A2T area, with major castings planned for these areas over the next several weeks.
Roof works are ongoing for the E03 lab building adjacent to the long-range instrument hall, E01, where MEP works are progressing. These interior works have also now extended into the large fan-shaped guide hall, E02, while the interior of the E04 lab building is being built out.
And finally, ESS took delivery of a portion of STFC Daresbury’s in-kind contribution in a shipment of Beam Transport Modules for the LINAC, which will soon be put in position throughout the tunnel.
