This week on the construction site, the first level vault in the Target Building Utility area and the second section of the 4-meter-thick A2T (Accelerator to Target) tunnel wall will be cast. More than 600 m3 of concrete is scheduled to be poured.
At the Gallery Building (G02), testing of the cryomodule vessel in Test Stand 2 is ongoing. The concrete elements for the bunker are now in production and deliveries of these will start next month. Last week, another two klystrons were received in the Klystron Gallery.
Roof works are currently under way at the ESS Logistics Building (F03). A weathertight building and the start of interior concrete floors is forecasted for mid-October.
Ongoing Civil works around the Logistics Building include excavation for cables, refill around sockets and asphalting.
