Activities & Events

The European Spallation Source organises several events a year for partners and Industry. These meetings, workshops, conferences and forums are opportunities for ESS's institutional and Industry partners to keep up-to-date on the project.

Please check back regularly or contact us directly for a complete overview of Partners & Industry activities.

26-28 February, Copenhagen

ESS is among the organisers of the Big Science Business Forum 2018, the first one-stop shop for European companies and other stakeholders to learn about Europe's Big Science organisations' future investments and procurements worth billions of euros.

Grant Involvement

The European Spallation Source is involved in a number of projects funded by both regional and national grants.

ESS is currently involved in projects under the framework Horizon 2020 and the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) programmes of the European Commission. Horizon 2020 is the largest EU programme for research and innovation ever, and encourages breakthroughs to drive economic growth in Europe. Despite the FP7 programme closing in 2013, a limited number of projects funded by FP7 are still running.

Concurrently, ESS is involved in projects funded by Swedish funding agencies such as Vinnova and The Swedish Research Council, Vetenskapsrådet.
