After a successful inaugural school last year, we are excited to announce that applications are welcome to the second ESS Data Management and Software Centre Summer School, taking place from September 1 to September 6, 2024.

About ESS Data Management and Software Centre Summer School 

Data curation and analysis skills are becoming increasingly important in neutron scattering. This summer school will introduce participants to cutting-edge concepts and software necessary for understanding neutron scattering data. The curriculum will be delivered through a series of talks and hands-on workshops led by ESS staff.

Talks will mostly take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, with one day in Lund, Sweden

Location

  • Primary Venue: Data Management and Software Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Additional Venue: One day at the ESS facility in Lund, Sweden

Costs and administration

  • Attendance Fee: Free (spaces are limited)
  • Included: Lunches and social activities
  • Supporters: DanScatt and the Fédération Française de Diffusion Neutronique (French Federation of Neutron Diffusion)
  • Accommodation: An application for sponsorship of accommodation has been submitted, and further information will follow regarding this.
