Grant Involvement

The European Spallation Source is involved in a number of projects funded by both regional and national grants.
ESS is currently involved in projects under the framework Horizon 2020 and the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) programmes of the European Commission. Horizon 2020 is the largest EU programme for research and innovation ever, and encourages breakthroughs to drive economic growth in Europe. Despite the FP7 programme closing in 2013, a limited number of projects funded by FP7 are still running. Concurrently, ESS is involved in projects funded by Swedish funding agencies such as Vinnova and The Swedish Research Council, Vetenskapsrådet.
