ESS has released a Cost Book for In-Kind Contributions for the Initial Operations Phase of the ESS Construction. The Cost Book lists potential In-Kind packages to the ESS Accelerator, Target and Science and Instrument Program, with the estimated total value of the works at 22.6M€.

This gives partner institutes of the member countries the opportunity to become directly involved in the crucial work to help drive the success of ESS. The In-Kind Contributions cover a wide range of work packages involving technical scope, services and secondment of staff.

The process for applying to undertake the In-Kind Contributions is under development with details to be announced in a series of workshops after the summer. To be eligible, partners need to agree to ESS’s budget and timescale and secure backing from their national funding organisations/ministries.

The Cost Book is available for download here (IKC Downloads).
